they are talking about earrings and shoes right now. which ok, it's not crazy but it's definitely not a conversation i'm going to get involved with.
meanwhile i'm completely at home talking with my boss about avatar and if i should get playon.tv

i'm going shopping...on purpose.

i shall willingly go to stores and browse until i find the perfect items.. AND it's not even for a special occasion.

i know.. i know.. but i have to. why you ask? because summer is looming. no, it's not the allure of the perfect summer dress to frolic in the park with my sweety in. it's cause this time last year i was working at an art gallery. which meant that mini corduroy skirts, sneakers, and wife beaters were acceptable attire.

but now i'm in a corporate environment and i only have one pair of flats and they hurt. so off i go shop for clothes that i can wear to work.


pray for me to survive the smell of nasty perfume that lurks in department stores, to come out alive among the sale rack...to not scream when all i see is fusia.

work plus and minus

+ I'm being creative
+ I have an actual title and pretty cool art director
+ I'm coding but it's mostly in CSS so it's light
+ There's a guy that sits by me who is really chill and randomly burst into song to kill the silence, makes me chuckle (he's the IT guy - shocker)
+ There's a lot to do so the day goes by fast
+ My pretty cool art director has been in the London office for most of the time I've been here so far

- Working with offices in the UK and Dubai, coming in at 8am is seen as normal not as 'putting in some extra effort'
- There isn't a lot of good food in this area, I might start bringing in my lunch.

For some reason the fact that i'm now getting paid to DESIGN is freaking me out. In a good way mostly. But there's also the whole "seriosuly.. i.. i get to design now?? really??" thing that keeps creeping up.

Day 4 and things are looking up..
Only down side so far...no AIM or MSN Messenger. Thats ok though, I still have blogger and gmail so i'll be able to ramble away.

Honestly, having him come here and give me a hug and cup of coffee makes me so happy i feel like i can deal with anything.
