vermont

So we went to vermont for valentines weekend.
5 1/2 ish hours after leaving NY we got to Killington!
X-country Skiing, sledding and snowmobiling...outdoor jacuzzi, sauna, chess by the fireplace...

All in all an awesome weekend :)

Only hitch...we got stuck on the snow on our way back. Stopped to take a picture of a mountain and when we got back in to drive off... our back tire sunk.
V6 4x4 and still... vermont snow wins, heh..

amigos

This is why i love this man.

Upon telling my friend that gavin and i got a Highlander he goes on to say (after of course making fun of me and calling in the bet we had about me getting domestic) :
"you can be barefoot and pregnant for the rest of your life and you’ll still be the cool goth chick on the dancefloor to me"

LOL

makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Yeah, growing up is a crazy thing. Five years ago would i have guessed that I'd be living in long island with a 4x4 and be working in a corporate environment? No.

crazy! :)

suv

So i was just talking to a co-worker about a new car gavin and i are probably getting.
And the second he says "so that's like a suv right?" I feel compelled to say "yeah, we want to be able to go skiing and camping without a problem."
He then brings up the fact that people feel the need to justify the fact that you're buying a large car now-a-days.

Totally true, and also understandable. Natural resources and all that.
When we were deciding on what kind of car to get Gavin brought up some things he said he needed.

1 - i'm a first time driver and he wants me to live if i ever get into a crash (bigger car - less likelihood of getting squished)
2- we don't have a garage and we need to be able to get out of the long island snow the likes of which caused us to dig for almost an hour before noticing that the weight cracked the windshield of the loaner we had (true story)
3- we need to be able to fit our tent in the back when we go camping, two bikes for when we go biking etc etc.

And since I've never driven anything i really didn't care as long as it didn't look like a minivan.

But thinking of the environment makes me guilty for wanting to be comfortable.

Yeah, we could have gotten a four door and dealt with digging the car out every snowfall, get a couple roof racks and hope they hold, somehow stuff our tent in the backseat..

Is it alright to want to be comfortable now-a-days? Are we being amoral in these times?

makes ya think...

vipZ

So turns out that Slipknot’s drummer Chris Fehn is going to Kaos today because frontlines is one of his favorite games and being rich he gets a tour and shit. For those that don't know Kaos is where gavin works .. he's a technical artist. Also known as every little geek boys dream job.

So, there's your random tidbit of the day.

Also.. wtf is up with twitter? I can't log in!!

HELP!

woot!

it's finally happened.
My hair has finally grown to where i can put it in a bun sans clips or ponytail holders.

Sad that little things like that make me happy. Ever since i chopped off all my hair two years ago getting it to be this long again has been a pain. Of course that's mostly my fault cause i kept trimming it... but alas, the time has finally come. In more trite news, gavin informed me that my hair looks red in the sun. Who knew...
The things one learns when you stop dying black hair blacker. Highlights are a good thing.

Back to work..
